About Double Domer Properties

Our Story

Double Domer Properties was founded by Notre Dame graduates who felt they could make a difference in improving the area near the South Campus of Notre Dame, which locals refer to as South Bend's "Northeast Neighborhood". As undergrads, the founders lived in that very same neighborhood, and over time conversations developed into a game plan: Help improve that blighted area by investing in housing and providing affordable and equal housing opportunities to families and students alike.
Since 2006, the firm has rehabilitated over 20 properties near Notre Dame's campus, and has generated a reputation as a trustworthy and dependable property manager, owner, and neighborhood advocate. The firm has witnessed and participated in the improvement of neighborhoods by eliminating vacant housing, purchasing unkept vacant lots, and reducing vacancy which attracts vandals and squatters. Through these efforts, the firm has noticed that neighboring property owners respond in turn, by taking better care of their own properties and by taking more pride in the neighborhood.
Seperately, Double Domer Properties has identified a strong market niche in the form of football weekend rentals. Property owners in our neighborhoods repeatedly have approached the firm regarding renting out homes for Notre Dame Football weekends. Responding to this need, the firm developed www.rentlikeachampion.com, a website devoted not only to South Bend rental housing, but also to Notre Dame Football Rental Houses and 3rd Party Management for GameDay weekends. While many competitors have since imitated this concept, they truly pale in comparison to the service, ease of use, and profit generated through www.rentlikeachampion.com.
In the future, Double Domer Properties seeks to not only continue serving weekend football crowds, but also to help encourage the continual positive evolution and revitalization of the South Bend and Notre Dame area.
